The AccordsThe Accords    Audiences of all ages love the popular medleys, international polka tunes, and toe-tapping melodies of Utah’s own accordion trio.  Composed of Glenna Archibald, Susan Henshaw, and Joan Weitzeil, The Accords perform at a variety of venues all along the Wasatch Front . This is definitely not your grandmother’s accordion music (or maybe it is!), so come clap your hands, move your feet, and sing along.


Lowell Blue Lowell Blue     Lowell and his guitar are an acoustic force to be reckoned with. The Harp CircleThe Harp Circle     Wherever they play, these Utah County harpists use Celtic music to transform the everyday into a musical journey through a world of idyllic beauty and peace.  Founded by renowned harpist Kira Pratt Davis, the Circle is still inspired by her goal – to bless lives with serenity and enjoyment through the magical sounds of the harp.

Julie HillJulie Hill     The "Dairy Country Troubadour" of Northern Utah, Julie Hill's music celebrates the natural world – from red-rock deserts to fields of daisies – with simple and striking original songwriting. Hill's "steady, strong voice" combines with lyrics that are "sometimes moody, sometimes cheerful, always poignant" to create a unique contemporary folk style. Julie delights in both creation and performance, and her music goes straight to the heart.

Sacha and Christopher KuxSacha & Christopher Kux     Performing at the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival for the first time, this folk duo comes to us all the way from Florida . Back home, the two spend time absorbing folk and acoustic music like sponges. Here at the Festival, they will present a mix of contemporary and traditional styles, drawing from aural traditions of the U.S. and Europe, along with the occasional bluegrass or country standard.

Stephanie Smith MabeyStephanie Smith Mabey     After releasing three independent albums as Stephanie Smith, Stephanie moved to a new state, embraced her funky new married name, and stepped into a new chapter of her musical life.  Genuine and authentic, she has been voted one of the “Top 15 Artists in the West” by Billboard Magazine. Mississippi MudMississippi Mūd     Formed on the banks of the Mississippi River in 2001, Mississippi Mūd specializes in the big band sound of the thirties and forties. When these professional musicians returned to the Wasatch Front - expecting a quiet retirement - an enthusiastic Utah fan base kept them making music. So, grab a dance partner and celebrate as this fantastic band strikes up the sound of the Mississippi.

When Joe Perry, a highland bagpipe teacher and player with the Mt Timpanogos Pipe Band, started playing his uilleann (Irish) pipes before practices, he wasn’t alone for long. The traditional Irish music was contagious, and soon others were showing up with fiddles, whistles, mandolins, and pipes. Come see why these performers were lured into a second practice before every Pipe Band meeting!

PanHarmoniumPanHarmonium     David Cantrell, Susan Marchant, and Gilbert Ritchie recreate the music of ancient times. Founded in 1987, PanHarmonium has performed at The National Storytelling Festival, The Alabama Shakespeare Festival, and many other festivals and events. Their repertoire includes medieval, Renaissance and baroque music played on authentic reproductions of the vielle, recorder, harp, hurdy-gurdy, and other period instruments.

Red Desert RamblersRed Desert Ramblers     Hailing from all over Utah, the Ramblers are a well-known regional favorite, playing an eclectic mix of bluegrass, classic country, folk, and swing. This "feel good" band blends traditional harmonies with smoking instrumentals to produce rhythm and rhyme like you’ve never heard before. Payne and Call Sam Payne & Cherie Call     Mutual fans for years, Sam Payne and Cherie Call are teaming up for this year’s Festival. Sam brings his jazz-inflected folk music around the world, while also working as a nationally-known radio producer and writer.  Cherie Call is a regular performer at Nashville's Blue Bird Café and a finalist in the prestigious Kerrville New Folk songwriting competition.
