Storytelling is experiencing a powerful revival in America, three decades strong. The Timpanogos Storytelling Festival has taken its place as one of the leaders in storytelling worldwide! With such outstanding storytelling in your own backyard, why doesn't your school host one of the many nationally acclaimed storytellers Timpanogos Storytelling schedules for school assemblies and workshops?
Schools have adopted storytelling as a part of their curriculum because studies have shown the benefits of storytelling to include:
- increased imagination
- improved language skills
- respect for other cultures
- passing on of tradition
- awareness of history
To further the influence of storytelling in the schools and to aid schools in establishing or extending their own storytelling events, the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival has established the Storytelling Outreach Program. Our Storytellers share a wealth of experience in the art of storytelling. The Timpanogos Storytelling is proud to be represented by them in its school Outreach Program. Although there is a fee for inviting a storyteller into your school, 3/4 of this cost is absorbed by Timpanogos Storytelling and our sponsors.
