Location and Parking
The Timpanogos Storytelling Conference is held at the Brigham Young University Conference Center in Provo, Utah. Parking is available free of charge in visitor parking lots on the BYU campus. See schedule for evening concert locations.
Credit Requirements
You can receive college credit for El Ed 589R or Sec Ed 589R through Brigham Young University. For an additional $30 posting free and attending at least 6 1/2 hours of Conference events, you will receive 1/2 credit hour, or attend 13 hours and receive 1 credit. Course requirements are available here, and information will be provided upon receipt of registration with the credit option selected.
Substitutions and Cancellations
A $10 fee will be assessed for each refund requested. All refunds must be requested in writing and no refunds will be made after the start of the Conference. You may arrange for a substitute to come in your place without penalty at any time.
Who May Attend
The Storytelling Conference is open to anyone aged 13 and above. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate nursing infants or young children in any workshop.
Youth Storytellers
The Conference includes a workshop for youth ages 9-18. They will join with national storyteller Bil Lepp and this year's National Youth Storytelling Showcase (NYSS) participants to explore writing great stories. Young storytellers are invited to join us on Saturday, February 11 at 2:30pm at the BYU Conference Center. Registration is limited so register early. Purchase tickets here. Participants and members of the general public are invited to attend the free NYSS concert immediately following the program.
BYU Campus Policy
While on the Brigham Young University campus, attendees of conferences and workshops are required to adhere to BYU standards of conduct (modesty in dress and conduct and abstinence from alcohol, tobacco, coffee, tea, and harmful drugs).
